Biography
The Story Behind the Sound
DJ Caipo is a Southern California-based DJ and entertainer with over 25 years of experience rocking weddings, corporate events, nightclubs, and private parties. Known for his open-format versatility, seamless transitions, and ability to read any crowd, Caipo has built a reputation as one of the most trusted names in the region.
Born and raised in Panorama City, CA, Chris "Caipo" relocated to Temecula after the 1994 Northridge earthquake — and brought his passion for music with him. Starting out as a promoter, he learned the craft from the ground up alongside industry veterans V-Real, RPM, and Loczi. That foundation launched a career that has spanned club residencies, touring, and thousands of private events across Southern California.
Caipo's career highlights include membership in the Warrior DJs — a coalition affiliated with Wyclef Jean — serving as touring DJ for Layzie Bone of Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, and a two-year residency at Baily's Eleven After Dark. Today he leads a team that includes MC Shai, delivering full-service entertainment packages for weddings, quinceañeras, corporate events, and beyond.
With an open-format approach spanning hip-hop, R&B, Top 40, Latin, oldies, and everything in between, DJ Caipo doesn't just play music — he creates moments.
